TrackMyTips ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Personal Information: • Display name (from Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In if provided, or custom name you set) • Profile picture (optional) • Email address (only if shared via Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In settings - stored in authentication only, not in our database) • Push notification preferences Shift Data: • Clock in/out times • Work roles (Server/Bartender/Hostess/Expo) • Tip amounts and notes • Shift duration and dates

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to provide app functionality: • Track your work shifts and earnings • Calculate analytics and metrics • Generate AI-powered insights • Display historical data and trends • Send push notifications (if enabled) We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage

All data is stored securely using Google Firebase: • Authentication: Firebase Authentication • Database: Cloud Firestore • Files: Firebase Storage • Functions: Cloud Functions Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Only you can access your shift and tip data.

Third-Party Services

TrackMyTips uses the following third-party services: • Firebase (Google) - Data storage, authentication, analytics, and crash reporting • OpenAI - AI-powered analysis (optional feature) • Apple - Sign in with Apple authentication • Google - Sign in with Google authentication These services have their own privacy policies governing data use.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to improve app quality and user experience: Automatically Collected: • App opens and key screens (Home, Shifts, Goals, Reports, Settings) • Device information (iOS or Android version, device model, region) • App crashes and errors • Feature usage (e.g. clock in/out, tips added, goals created, AI analysis, feedback) • Anonymous usage properties (e.g. signed in with Apple, Google, or guest) Not Collected: • Your exact tip amounts or earnings (we may use coarse buckets for product analytics) • Display names or profile pictures • Tip notes or other free-text content Analytics events use an app instance identifier and may include your Firebase user ID for crash diagnostics. We do not use this data for advertising. This helps us understand which features are valuable and fix crashes quickly.

AI Analysis

When you use the "Analyze with AI" feature, your shift data is sent to OpenAI's API to generate insights. By default, OpenAI does not use API data to train its models. Requests are configured so OpenAI does not retain them as application state; OpenAI may still briefly process data to provide the service and, unless Zero Data Retention applies to our account, may retain limited logs for abuse monitoring for a short period. The use of this feature is optional.

Data Retention

Your data is retained while your account remains active. You can delete individual shifts, tips, or your entire account at any time through the app's Settings menu. If you cannot access the app, request deletion at https://trackmytips.app/delete-account. We may permanently delete accounts and all associated data that have been inactive for one year or longer. Signing in and using the app counts as activity and resets this period.

Your Rights

You have the right to: • Access your data at any time • Edit or delete your data • Export your data (contact us via the app's support channel or support@trackmytips.app) • Delete your account and all associated data (in-app Settings, or https://trackmytips.app/delete-account) • Use the app anonymously without creating an account

Children's Privacy

TrackMyTips is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
