Earnings goals in TrackMyTips
Updated September 12, 2026
Weekly or monthly targets
The Goals tab tracks how much you earn toward a target — not hours, not tip count. You create a goal with a name, how much you need, a target date, and a tracking period of Weekly or Monthly. The app turns that into a per-period earnings target. Home can also start the same wizard from the goals scroller.
How progress is counted
Progress is the sum of total earnings on shifts whose clock-in falls in the goal’s start and end dates. Total earnings are net tips plus wages — the same number used in Reports. Tips you have not logged, and wages not stored on those shifts, do not count.
The card can show ahead of pace, on track, or behind pace by comparing progress to how far you are through the date range (about 10 percentage points either side of the expected share). Days remaining use the goal’s end date.
Active, reached, archived
Active goals sit on the Goals tab and on Home. When earnings hit the target, the app marks the goal reached. You can archive old goals, expand the archive to read them, edit a goal’s details, or delete it. None of that changes the underlying shifts.
