AI insights in TrackMyTips

It is not automatic

TrackMyTips does not analyze your shifts in the background. On Reports, after you pick a time range, you tap Analyze with AI. If you never tap it, no analysis is sent. Saved results live under Reports → Past Analyses.

When Analyze with AI is available

This Week is never analyzed. Last Week and Last Month can be analyzed when that range has at least one shift. All Time unlocks after shifts span two distinct calendar months (“Keep tracking! All Time insights unlock after two months of shifts.”).

You still pick the range yourself. Empty ranges show “No Shifts in Range” instead of the analyze button.

What gets sent

The request goes to OpenAI through TrackMyTips. For Last Week and Last Month it includes shift rows: dates and times, role, shift type (Morning / Afternoon / Evening / Late Night from clock-in hour), total tips, net tips, tip-out if you recorded one, wage, wages earned, total earnings, duration, and — when tip rows have loaded — each tip’s amount, timestamp, and note. All Time sends a rolled-up summary rather than every shift row. Using Analyze is optional. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Guidance only

Insights are generated by a third-party model. The Terms of Service say they are guidance only and are not guaranteed. They are not tax advice, not a schedule guarantee, and not a reason to skip logging tip-outs. If the response hits a length limit, the sheet warns that the analysis may be incomplete.
